The Yankees come back to win this one with a 3 run home run in the 9th by Bobby Abreu off Jonathan Papelbon. It's the type of game that would have been a lot more heart-wrenching if the Red Sox didn't have a 30+ game lead over the Yankees.

WEB GEMS- Bot 2nd: Robinson Cano robbed J.D. Drew of a base hit.

Right fielder Bobby Abreu lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI as
the New York (AL) Yankees staged a dramatic comeback over the Boston Red Sox
by a score of 6 to 4 at Fenway Park.

New York (AL) came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Johnny Damon was the
sparkplug when he drew a walk. Derek Jeter stepped into the batter's box and
he laced a base-knock. Abreu then lost the ball over the fence for three
runs (his 19th of the season). Mariano Rivera(4-3) was helped out by Joba
Chamberlain who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 2nd save.

Jonathan Papelbon(3-4) was charged with the loss in relief. Papelbon was
feeling apologetic in the locker room, 'I sure let that one get away. What a
miserable feeling to let the guys down; and our fans. One minute things are
looking great, then. BOOM, it's over with! I just hope I get a chance to
redeem myself real soon!'
