A day after combining for 27 hits and 6 runs, the Nationals and Marlins combine for 30 hits and 21 runs. This time, the Nats come out on top in a game that was an absolute dogfight, with 8 lead changes.

The Marlins took a 9-7 lead in the bottom of the 6th with a 2-run pinch hit home run from Cody Ross and a Jeremy Hermedia triple following a Dan Uggla double. The Nats tied it in the 8th, getting a leadoff double from Ronnie Belliard and then taking advantage of a misplayed ground ball off Wily Mo Pena's bat by pitcher Harvey Garcia. Instead of ending the inning with the third out, that put runners on 1st and 3rd and was followed by RBI singles from Robert Fick and pinch hitter Dmitri Young. The Nats then went ahead in the top of the 9th, loading the bases and then getting a sac fly from Ryan Zimmerman. Ryan Church's single would re-load the bases, and Jesus Flores would hit another sac fly to give the Nats a 2 run lead.

They would end up needing the 2 run lead, as the 9th with Chad Cordero was the typical Cordero adventure.

Right fielder Ryan Langerhans cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Washington
Nationals rallied impressively to win in dramatic style over Florida Marlins,
11 to 10.

Washington won the game with a rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits. Felipe Lopez led off and he singled. D'Angelo Jimenez stepped
into the batter's box and he drew a walk. Ronnie Belliard then laced a
single to load the bases. Ryan Zimmerman came up and he hit a sacrifice fly
resulting in a run. Ryan Church stepped into the box and smacked a one-base
hit to load the bases. Jesus Flores kept the rally going and hit a deep fly
scoring the final run of the inning. It was roller coaster of a game as the
lead change hands 6 times.

Saul Rivera(7-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing
no runs. Rivera got help from Chad Cordero who earned his 32nd save. Kevin
Gregg(4-8) suffered the loss in relief.
