The Tampa Bay Devil Rays edged the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park by the score
of 3 to 2.
 
The deciding run was scored by Tampa Bay in the 9th.  After an out was
recorded, Jonny Gomes ripped a solo home run (his 20th of the season).  The
game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.  
 
The winning pitcher was Jay Witasick(2-2) who allowed 1 run in 1 and 2/3
innings. Witasick got help from Al Reyes who was credited with his 24th save.
Eric Gagne(3-3) took the loss in relief.
