Luis Gonzalez blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Dodger Stadium where the Los
Angeles(NL) Dodgers beat the Washington Nationals by the score of 7 to
5.
Gonzalez enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He smashed a two-run homer in
the 3rd inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his 25th of the
season) in the 5th inning. Chad Billingsley(8-5) got help from Takashi Saito
who pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 28th save.
Jason Bergmann(4-6) was given the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and
3 walks in 4 innings. Los Angeles(NL) now has a record of 62-70. With this
loss, Washington has a 7-3 record of late, 75-58 overall.
