The Nationals pull off the 1-0 victory in a surprising pitchers duel between Mike Bacsik and Woody Williams. Williams would give up the only blemish on an otherwise scoreless day, a solo home run by Wily Mo Pena. Pena has really lit it up since joining the Nationals, hitting at a .625 pace. The Astros almost tie it when the last batter of the game goes deep to right, but Austin Kearns grabs it at the wall and the Nats come away with the win.

The Nats are 5-1 in 1-0 games this season.
