Matt Chico of the Nats and Cole Hamels of the Phillies lock up in an intense pitchers duel, with Hamels the victor after holding the Nats hitless over the first 7 innings. The first hit was a Nook Logan single with no outs in the 8th. The Nats would add one more hit in the 9th, but couldn't get a runner past 2nd base in the entire game. The Phillies got just one runner past 1st base in the game - Pat Burrell, who circled the bags after a 5th inning homer that would be the only run in the game.
