Kason Gabbard takes his first loss of the season as the Red Sox fall to the White Sox by a 4-2 score. Gabbard was cruising as usual, allowing just one hit over the first 4 innings, but then gave up a run in the 5th and 2 more in the 6th on a Josh Fields homer. The Sox would get one back in the bottom of the 8th on a Manny solo homer, but that was it for the hometown team.
