The Nationals complete the series sweep of the Marlins with a 9-3 win. The Marlins jumped out to an early lead in this one, but the Nats tied the score and eventually took the lead thanks to some downright sloppy play by the Marlins. In the 6th, the Nats scored 2 runs to take a 5-3 lead when the Marlins commited 3 errors in the inning, 2 by first baseman Mike Jacobs. The Nats would bat around and score 4 more in the 8th. The Marlins intentionally walked the bases loaded twice in the inning; once was followed by a wild pitch to score a run, the other followed by a balk to score a run.

The win was the Nats 5th straight and gives them 9 wins in their last 10 games.
