| The Red Sox get out to a quick 2-0 lead in the 1st on a Manny Ramirez homer, then the Rangers come back with runs in the 2nd and 6th. The Sox take the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th when JD Drew hits a clutch single with Big Papi on third. The Sox would get one in the 7th on an Alex Cora homer, then get another on a Mike Lowell sac fly in the 8th. Papelbon would give up a homer in the 9th, but still earn his 24th save. Tim Wakefield gets his 9th win with 7 strong innings. |
