At SAFECO Field the Seattle Mariners outscored the Boston Red Sox 6 to
3.
Seattle scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning with the help of 3 hits.
After an out was recorded, Jose Guillen started the attack as he singled.
Adrian Beltre came next and he drew a walk. Yuniesky Betancourt then laced a
base-hit to load the bases. Jamie Burke followed and he doubled with all
three runners coming home. Seattle had a total of 8 hits for the game.
The win was credited to Ryan Feierabend(2-2) who went 5 and 2/3 innings
allowing 1 run. J.J. Putz recorded the save, his 18th. Daisuke
Matsuzaka(9-4) was given the loss. By giving up 6 runs in 6 innings his ERA
increased from 3.12 to 3.44.
