June 25, 2007: Red Sox 7 Mariners 3

The Red Sox rap out 14 hits and cruise to a 7-3 win over the Mariners. Getting back to AL competition doesn't make a difference for the Sox, who are a perfect 7-0 on this road trip through Atlanta, San Diego and now Seattle. The Sox struck early and often off starter Jeff Weaver and reliever Ryan Rowland-Smith. Julian Tavarez pitches 6 innings for the Sox on way to his 9th win, two more than he had in real life in the entire 2007 season. If we project his win total to 162 games, he would have 19 wins!

Everyone but Manny Ramirez got in on the offense today. Coco Crisp had a good day, going 2 for 4 with a double and a triple. Dustin Pedroia went 3 for 5 at the top of the order, while Kevin Youkilis scored 3 runs out of the 5 hole.

The blistering-hot Boston Red Sox defeated the Seattle Mariners by a score of
7 to 3 at SAFECO Field.
 
Julian Tavarez(9-3) gave a fine effort for Boston. He went 6 innings
surrendering 3 hits and 2 walks.  Boston ended up with 14 hits for the game
while Seattle had 6.  
 
Jeff Weaver(2-4) was tagged with the loss.  It was another victory for Boston
at SAFECO Field.  Now their winning streak stands at 7 games.
