The Nats and Indians needed 13 innings to decide this one, with the Nats coming out victorious when Austin Kearns and Ryan Church led off the 13th with back to back doubles.

The Nats were cruising along with a 3-0 lead when starter Matt Chico tired in the 7th and allowed back to back homers to Jhonny Peralta and Jason Michaels. Chico was pulled in favor of Jon Rauch, who was no relief at all and allowed the Indians to load the bases without recording an out. Rauch gave way to Luis Ayala, who did allow the tying run to cross from a Grady Sizemore sac fly, but then got Franklin Gutierrez to line into a double play.

The score would hold until the 11th, then the Indians again loaded the bases, this time off Chad Cordero. I pulled Cordero for Jesus Colome, who struck out pinch hitter Ryan Garko but then allowed a single to Sizemore. One run scored, but Kelly Shoppach was out at home trying to make it 5-3.

The Nats would get one right back in the bottom of the 11th off Indians closer Joe Borowski. With one out, Ryan Church would double and then 2 straight wild pitches would score him. The score held until the 13th, when Church doubled again to win the game.

The game may have been over sooner if not for Grady Sizemore's leap - he robbed the Nats of home runs in both the 11th and 12th!
