Kevin Youkilis went deep and had 4 RBI at Turner Field as the Boston Red Sox
beat the Atlanta Braves 9 to 3.

Youkilis was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He cleared the fences for a two-run
home run (his 11th of the season) in the 2nd inning and tripled plating two
runs in the 9th inning. Overall Boston out-hit Atlanta 15 to 6.

The win went to Julian Tavarez(8-3) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. The losing
pitcher was Buddy Carlyle(0-3). He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 3
walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.

The winning ways continue for Boston. They now have a record of 8-2 in recent
days. With the loss, the Atlanta ballclub's record is 36-37, worst in the
division.
