| A remarkable win for the Nats in a game that goes scoreless until the 12th inning. The Nats allowed just 5 hits over those 12 innings, as Tim Redding goes 7 scoreless in his Nats debut, followed by Chris Schroder who pitches 3 hitless innings to be followed by Jon Rauch who allows just 1 hit over 2 innings. Finally in the bottom of the 12th, Ronnie Belliard breaks the tie and ends the game by putting one in the seats off Cubs reliever Mike Wuertz. This marks back-to-back wins for the Nats, something they hadn't done in 3 weeks. |
