Matt Guerrier pitched 4 strong innings at Metrodome as the Minnesota Twins
belted the Washington Nationals by the count of 13 to 2.
Joe Mauer provided much of the offense. He cracked a solo homerun (his 2nd of
the season) in the 5th inning, ripped a base-knock bringing in a run in the
7th inning and singled which was good for two runs in the 7th inning. For
the game Minnesota out-hit Washington 18 to 5.
The win went to Carlos Silva(8-3) who allowed 2 runs in 5 innings. Guerrier
earned his 3rd save. Jason Simontacchi(3-2) was hit with the loss.
