The Red Sox welcome the San Francisco Giants to Fenway Park with a 13 hit attack that leads to an 11-5 victory. The Sox beat them down with extra base hits, 5 doubles and 2 homers. JD Drew had one of each and was a triple shy of the cycle in a 3 for 5, 4 RBI day. His 3 run homer in the 8th was the knockout punch. Manny contributed a 2 run shot, and Big Papi and Mike Lowell both had 2 doubles. Julian Tavarez continues to pitch well enough to win, 6 IP and 3 runs allowed this time out for his 7th win.

How did visitor Barry Bonds fare in his first visit to Fenway Park? 0 for 3 with a walk. He ended the game with a deep fly to center, unfortunately (for him) right to Coco Crisp.

in the 1st inning, doubled plating a run in the 6th inning and belted a
three-run homer (his 4th of the season) in the 8th inning. San Francisco was
out-hit by Boston, 13 hits to 9.

The win went to Julian Tavarez(7-3) who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings. Barry
