Ryan Church eventually gets the Nats back in the game with a game-tying 2 run homer in the 7th following an Austin Kearns single, then the Nats break it open with 4 runs on 4 hits and a walk in the 8th. Zimmerman led off with a double, then was knocked in by Dmitri Young's single. After 2 strikeouts, Schneider walked and Nook Logan singled to knock in another run. Ronnie Belliard pinch hit for the pitcher and contributed a 2-run single. Chad Cordero allowed 2 singles to start off the 9th, but then got a Nomar Garciaparra fly out and a Jeff Kent GIDP to end the game. |

to 3 at RFK STADIUM.
Washington had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning when
they tallied 4 runs on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Ronnie Belliard who
made the crowd come alive when he laced a single plating two runs.
