The Nationals offense starts firing in the late innings, turning a 3-1 deficit into a 7-3 win. Nats starter Micah Bowie allowed 3 runs in the Dodger 4th, but partially has the Nats' defense to blame as both Brian Schneider and Ryan Zimmerman make errors. Ryan Church eventually gets the Nats back in the game with a game-tying 2 run homer in the 7th following an Austin Kearns single, then the Nats break it open with 4 runs on 4 hits and a walk in the 8th. Zimmerman led off with a double, then was knocked in by Dmitri Young's single. After 2 strikeouts, Schneider walked and Nook Logan singled to knock in another run. Ronnie Belliard pinch hit for the pitcher and contributed a 2-run single. Chad Cordero allowed 2 singles to start off the 9th, but then got a Nomar Garciaparra fly out and a Jeff Kent GIDP to end the game.
