The Nationals must like the home cooking, as they take game 1 of a 9 game homestand to get back on the winning track after a 2-5 road trip through Cincy and St. Louis. The Nats spread out the offense, scoring a single run in 5 separate innings, each one scored by a different player and each one knocked in by a different player! Jason Simontacchi allowed 10 hits to the Dodgers, but he spread them out well enough over his 6 innings of work to result in just 2 runs. He gets his 2nd win of the season, while Chad Cordero gets his 12th save. This is Cordero's 9th straight appearance without allowing a run, so maybe he is fully cured from whatever caused him to allow 13 runs over 5 appearances in late April.
