Josh Beckett gets his major league-leading 7th win in a 3-2 win over the Blue Jays. Beckett was not as sharp as usual, allowing 2 home runs to account for the two Blue Jays runs which raised his ERA to 1.33. It was almost 3 homers if not for Coco Crisp, who snagged a Troy Glaus deep fly for an out in the 6th. The Sox got a longball of their own from Manny Ramirez in the 8th, which proved to be the winning run. With just 4 hits in the game the Sox had to rely on some "small ball", as evidenced by their other 2 runs - one was scored on a bases-loaded walk of Coco Crisp, while the other was scored on a JD Drew sac fly.
