The Florida Marlins defeated the Washington Nationals by a score of 5 to 2 at
RFK STADIUM.

Florida drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
scoring 3 runners on 3 hits. That early run support was enough for Ricky
Nolasco(2-1) and Florida. The pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as
neither team was able to score again.

Kevin Gregg earned his 3rd save. Matt Chico(6-1) was given the loss. With
this win, Florida has a 18-18 record. They have been 3-7 lately. With this
loss, Washington has a 7-3 record of late, 22-14 overall.
