Dice-K allowed 2 runs in the first on a Bobby Abreu home run, but recovered from that early mistake to pitch 5 scoreless innings. In the 7th, he started to tire and allowed a run before being pulled with runners on 1st and 2nd. JC Romero came in but was little relief, allowing both those runners to score as well as one that he was responsible for. The Red Sox would add a run in the 9th on a Dustin Pedroia solo shot, but it was too little too late in the 7-3 loss. |
