Catcher Miguel Olivo launched 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Florida Marlins
topped the Washington Nationals by a score of 8 to 6 at Dolphins
Stadium.

Olivo enjoyed a big day at the plate. He clubbed a three-run home run in the
4th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 3rd of the season)
in the 8th inning. Washington had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.

The winning pitcher was Randy Messenger(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings.
Henry Owens was credited with his 4th save. The loss was charged to Jesus
Colome(0-2) in relief. He surrendered 1 run and 1 hit in 2 innings.

'It was a tough one to lose' said Manny Acta 'We'll get them next time out.'
