The Nationals get back on the winning track with a 5-4 win over the Marlins. The Nats struck early against Marlins starter Scott Olsen, who allowed 5 hits and a walk in the first 2 innings. The Nats should have scored more than 3 runs if not for having a runner thrown out trying for an extra base in both innings. The Marlins would pull within a run in the 6th, the Nats would get one back in the 7th, the Marlins would pull within a run in the 8th, and the Nats would make it 5-3 with a Ryan Zimmerman solo shot in the 9th. They ended up needing that extra run, as Chad Cordero was an adventure in the 9th. He walked 3, allowed a single and threw a wild pitch but eventually got a double play and then a strikeout for the 3 outs and his 6th save.
