| The Red Sox continue their winning ways with a 6-4 victory over the Rangers. This one looked like it might have been trouble when Julian Tavarez gave up 3 runs in the first, including a big Sammy Sosa 2-run bomb. The Red Sox stormed right back in the 2nd with 2 runs on 4 straight singles, tied it in the 3rd with a JD Drew double followed by a Mike Lowell RBI single, then took the lead in the 4th on a 3-run David Ortiz homer. Tavarez would give up one more run in the 6th, but the Sox bullpen would hold on for the 6-4 win. Jonathan Papelbon earned his 4th save. |
